The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Today, I want to share my testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

I joined back in 1982. It seems so long ago, yet if feels as if it happened only a little while ago, given that I have so much I still need to learn.

A few months ago, I decided I wanted to really work on my knowledge, understanding, and application of the teachings of the Gospel in my life. So, I began a personal program of study that spanned from the scriptures to the words of modern Prophets and Church Leaders, found in various Church publications.

I am not done and, honestly, I don't think one life would be enough to really understand and make my own the teachings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. However, I am beginning to really understand the immense love that our Heavenly Father and Savior have for us. 

This love has been manifested from the beginning of time and continues today. Their love for us has been supporting us, guiding us, helping us, and rescuing us since the very beginning. 

Throughout the ages, men have worshipped the Father and the Son, then forgotten about Them, to return to worshipping Them (especially when times were hard - then, they would remember our Father in Heaven and our Savior, and the Prophets who testified of Them). 

This last dispensation has been no different from the previous ones, in regard to mankind forgetting about their origin and their destination. The teachings of the scriptures began to be modified, perhaps to make them easier to understand, of perhaps to fit a personal agenda. 

Because of this, many plain and precious truths were no longer taught correctly, if they were taught at all. Heavenly Father and the Savior knew that we needed those plain and precious truths restored. The Church as it was originally organized by our Savior while He was here on earth needed to be restored. 

Through a plain young boy, who was humble, teachable, and willing to do Their will, They restored The Church as it was when Jesus started it. 

I have a testimony that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true organization established in these latter days, before the Second Coming of our Savior, to help us prepare for His Coming. By "us," I mean all mankind, all over the world, those who are already members of The Church, and those who are not. Those who already know about the Savior and those who are yet to know Him. 

The more I study the scriptures and the words of the Prophets, the more I pray, the more I serve others, whether within The Church or outside of it, the more I try to truly understand His will for me, the more I feel of Their love. 

I invite all who might be reading these words, to get in touch with the missionaries or with a friend who is a current member and ask them questions; ask them to share the Gospel with you. Heavenly Father and the Savior love you just as much as They love me, or the Prophet, and They, through the Holy Ghost, will testify of its truthfulness. 

We are all children of our Heavenly Father. The Savior came to earth and did all that he did for each and everyone of us. None excluded.
