I Am Still Here

Hello again my friends.
It has been a very long time since the last time I wrote something on this and any other of my blogs.

I am still a teacher in the Relief Society. Since the last time I wrote, I have been teaching and I am still teaching the second and third Sunday of the month.

These two Sundays are set aside to learn from the life and words of our prophets.
This year, we are learning from President Howard W. Hunter.

He was sustained as the Prophet during the October 1, 1994 General Conference; he passed away only a few short months later, on March 3, 1995.

I have to be honest. I do not remember much of his presidency because I had things I was dealing with at home. However, as I have read, learned, and taught the lessons taken from his life and words, I have come to know him and love him.
Like all of the Prophets we had the blessing to learn about, President Hunter is a wonderful example of faith, service, and endurance.

I encourage all of us to read his words. It matters not what religion we practice. His words of wisdom, his faith, his charity, his endurance are bound to touch our hearts and help us become more like our Savior.
If President Hunter  could do it, so can we!

I'm grateful for his example. I'm grateful for the blessing and opportunity I have to learn and share his words with the sisters.
I'm grateful for Jesus Christ and His infinite sacrifice.
